Arkin is 2 months old today

Yay! My lil man is 2 months old  today.

Arkin is one month old

It's just amazing to me how fast the past month has gone by and how much Arkin has changed.

He's now given us a three hour chunk of sleep for five nights in a row.

He's also awake a lot more during the day and we can tell that his little eyes are focusing on more things that are further away from him. Right now, we’re having a tough time with colic but we’re working through it. Seeing him cry in pain is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.

Arkin's well baby checkup

Yesterday, Arkin had his  1^st well baby checkup.

Overall, he was a well baby however we need to treat his physiologic jaundice by exposing him to sunlight for an hour between 7-8am.

Pedia also prescribed CELLIFE (new to my ear).  

It contains factor that can help correct jaundice by removing bilirubin in the baby’s body. 

This is not sold in Mercury drug but can be found in Generica stores (PhP143 for 21 sachets). 

Pedia said to mix 1 sachet with his milk (regardless of the oz) 3x/day.

I love the freebie Abbot baby book.

I was really impressed with Arkin’s Pedia.

She was so keen explaining everything to us (not knowing that I was a Pedia Nurse before :P).

She explained everything well and my husband was really impressed too.

We are going back for Arkin’s 2^nd checkup on May 2^nd. 

Arkin is due to have his 2^nd dose of Hepa B vaccine.

Arkin Miguel

Our newest addition, Arkin Miguel, was born on Monday, April 2, 2012, 11:08 am, 

weighing 6 pounds and 3 ounces. 50 cms.
