Arkin's Playgro Juggling Bear Gym

Last night, Hubs and I went to Toys R Us ATC and bought Arkin his playgym.

There were lots brand to choose from but Hubs decided to buy Playgro.

Lexi and her Toddler Rapunzel Doll

Lexi is a big fan of Rapunzel (Tangled).
She has 2 dolls in her collection and she was so happy  yesterday when she got a gift from her Ninang Ivy who recently came home from Japan.

My kumare said she got this pretty collector's item doll from Disney store.

The Avengers Movie Date with Lexi and Hubs

We were supposed to bring Lexi to the Salon for her haircut but when I was looking at her locks, I  decided not to cut it nalang. Sayang eh! Tagal nameng pinahaba (kasi she was born bald)
So Hubs said "What are we going to do now? Want to go to the mall?...Of course, we said YES!!!
Tamang tama kasi opening ng The Avengers today.
Inside the cinema, Lexi was being her makulit self.
She was looking around, standing and talking alot.. ang kulit talaga. kaloka!
But it's okay, I still enjoyed the movie (and the cheese popcorn).

I just noticed, parang pareho yung concept ng The Avengers at Transformers dun sa part wherein the aliens were transported to Earth via portal. Hehe!

Taking care of my lil man...

Been away from blogging due to mommy duties...

Arkin is 19 days old today. He's taking 2-3oz of milk every 2-3 hours.

Last Wednesday was a sad day for us.

I just found out that Arkin is positive of G6PD deficiency (as per Newborn Screening Result) 

We went to Perps Las Pinas to get the confirmatory test done... I just hope it turns out Negative =(

Oh well, it's nothing serious but I still feel so bad that this happened to my son....

UPDATE (April 23, 2012)

We got the G6PD confirmatory result.

The result was 1.84

The 1st one was 1.2

I can't wait for May 2 so I can discuss the result with his Pedia...

I'm a mall rat!

Yay! It's my 15th day post-CS... I feel sooooo good!!!

Yesterday, Hubs and I went to Festi and ATC.

We bought the lil man his stroller and good thing we got it on SALE! Yehey!

Since we got a discount, we also bought our little girl an inflatable pool. Perfect for the summer heat!!!

I asked Hubs to drive me to ATC cause I want to try Jamba Juice.

I ordered Coldbuster ( Orange Juice, Orange Sherbet (Contains Milk), Peaches, Bananas, Ice, Immunity Boost, Antioxidant Power Boost (Contains Soy) ) and I was not that thrilled when I took a sip!

I don't know... maybe I'm just not in the mood for fruity drinks yet?

Lexi and Hubs were away last night to pick up my SIL from the airport then they headed to my IL's place in Cavite.

I was not that sleepy last night and I made some DS for Arkin.

Hubs came from Cavite (he drove my SIL from the airport) yesterday and look what he got for our lil man...

Sooo adorable...

I love the dragon design (perfect for our dragon baby).

The shoes are still big for Arkin..maybe it will fit in 2 weeks ;)

* need to replace the brand that I just bought since it does not pump enough milk

Portable Sewing Machine

* Yes, I'm into sewing too.. I want to buy this so that I can sew curtains, pillow cases, etc for the lil one and Ate Lexi

iPad 2

* We had the iPad 1 before and would to buy this for my lil girl.. she's been an honor student and would like to  give this to her as a gift

Canon CISS Printer

* I wanna print some pictures and be a lil crafty designing cakes, cupcakes for coming occasions while I'm on leave

Canon DSLR
* Since I have a newborn, I want to take high quality photos

Oh well, so many things in my mind right now.. 

I just wish our budget can accomodate these wishes soon  :)

Baby # 2 Birthing Experience

It's my 10th day post CS.. now lang ako nagka-energy to post my Birthing Experience.

April 1, 2011:

NPO-Nothing per mouth at 12MN

April 2, 2012

6:40am-arrived at hospital,admitted, signed consent,OB History,etc

7:00am-IV insertion ( 2 shots, ER nurse missed the first one..ouch!)

7:20am-went to my room

10:30am-wheeled to OR

10:35am-induction ng spinal anesthesia... whew! i can still remember the feeling.. super groggy!! the catheter will be inserted after the anes induction..

11:08am-BABY OUT! Yay!

-no pictures during the CS.. waaah!!! 

they forgot to get my cam from Hubs =(

I forgive them kasi super toxic that day (they have 14 OR scheduled)

11:20-transitioned to Recovery Room

11:20am-4:00pm - trans-out from Recovery Room,wheeled back to my room

Incision Dressing (no signs of infection)

Overall, di naman ako masyado nahirapan.

Nung nasa room na ko after recovery room, dun ako nahirapan kasi masakit yung tahi pero may round the clock IV pain meds naman. Kainis lang yung NUBAIN na IV med kasi super sakit sa vein!

I am super happy with my baby boy.

He's worth all the pain.

I thank God for this wonderful birthing experience. 

Arkin's well baby checkup

Yesterday, Arkin had his  1^st well baby checkup.

Overall, he was a well baby however we need to treat his physiologic jaundice by exposing him to sunlight for an hour between 7-8am.

Pedia also prescribed CELLIFE (new to my ear).  

It contains factor that can help correct jaundice by removing bilirubin in the baby’s body. 

This is not sold in Mercury drug but can be found in Generica stores (PhP143 for 21 sachets). 

Pedia said to mix 1 sachet with his milk (regardless of the oz) 3x/day.

I love the freebie Abbot baby book.

I was really impressed with Arkin’s Pedia.

She was so keen explaining everything to us (not knowing that I was a Pedia Nurse before :P).

She explained everything well and my husband was really impressed too.

We are going back for Arkin’s 2^nd checkup on May 2^nd. 

Arkin is due to have his 2^nd dose of Hepa B vaccine.
